Phase 1 Post-COVID

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, friends. The end is near, or so it seems. The State of Ohio will begin to reopen as of May 1st. And while we do not know the details or when gyms would be allowed to reopen, we do know that we need a plan to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Nothing is final. But, here are some of the things you can expect when Strong Tower resumes in-person classes.


Some temporary changes are likely to include (but not be limited to):

  • Coaches will designate exclusive workout spaces for each member of the class – This is not too different from our normal mode of operation. We will just be more vigilant in getting everyone aligned and properly distanced.
  • Class sizes capped – Right now it appears that the number will be 9. Add one more for the coach and you get the magic number of 10.
  • Rescheduling to allow for more time between classes – We will post a new temporary class schedule. We will also have to limit how long it takes you to come and go. This will allow us to empty the gym, clean and sanitize between classes, and minimize the number of people you may come in contact with.
  • Trainers and members will wash hands upon entry into the gym – Sanitizing stations will be set up as well. But washing your hands for at least 20 seconds will be a must.

If we’ve learned anything it is that things will change. Sometimes on a daily basis. But for now, this is the direction in which we are moving.

And for those who just aren’t sure about rushing back into a populated space, we hear you. Virtual and hybrid options will always be available to you.
